Aerospace Machine & Supply

Aerospace Machine and Supply (DBA of MSHINGES.COM) was originally formed in July of 1999 as a distribution arm of Aircraft Hinge Inc. Over the next five years, demand for Military Standard (MS) Hinges increased dramatically and in 2005 the decision was made to purchase a building in Las Vegas, NV. Drilling production was moved from California to Nevada and major construction on the empty building was completed. In 2006 drilling operations began.

Since then, the company has seen considerable growth and success and has added additional product lines.
In 2019 AMS moved all production from California to Las Vegas. This was a long process but currently we can complete all manufacturing processes in the Las Vegas facility.

MSHINGES.COM DBA Aerospace Machine and Supply has been owned continually by the Silva Family since the very beginning. It truly is a family owned and operated business. All members of the family have actively worked in the business and currently all but one still does.

We pride ourselves on never having a product fail and maintain the highest quality standards in the industry.

Meet the Team

Doug Silva | Owner and President

Doug is a native to Southern California and a successful business owner who currently runs aerospace manufacturing companies in Las Vegas, Nevada and Valencia, California. With more than 25 years in the business, he is a leading manufacturer in his field. Doug is a very hands-on, down-to-earth business owner with experience in machine design and tooling In addition to experience in aerospace, he also has experience in finance, legal, and automotive fields. He is a seasoned expert in international trade and is leading the Las Vegas Aerospace Industry in expanding their export market.

Terrina Arroyo | Director of Administration and Sales

Terrina Arroyo began her career with Aircraft Hinge in 2006, gaining unparalleled experience in Aerospace, while also establishing herself as knowledgeable and respected in the industry. Terrina has over 25 years experience in Aerospace and Government Sales. Her multifaceted expertise and rockstar sales approach have made her an incredible asset for our team, and you’ll be glad to work with her to handle any of your purchasing needs. For most people, hinges may not sound very interesting but for Terrina it has become a passion.

Brian Silva | Production Manager

For more than 15 years, Brian has dedicated his time and hard work toward making AMS/Aircraft Hinge what it is today. He worked his way from shipping and receiving to Purchasing and Production Manager and later added the title of Quality Manager. Brian handles all AS9100 certification requirements and is our in-house expert in quality requirements, materials, material specifications, processing requirements and processing specifications.

Jose Garcia | AMS Las Vegas Facilities Manager

Jose has been an integral part of this company since 2001; beginning as a deburrer with the California facility, and eventually making his way to Las Vegas to run the drilling department in 2006 and the entire facility since 2013. His innovation, zest for learning, and problem-solving skills have been indispensable to improving efficiency and consistency in many facets of the company.

Brianne Dautel | Office Manager

Brianne hails from a family of aerospace workers and has been with Aircraft Hinge since 2007. With more than 25 years of customer service and 15 years in management, Brianne ensures that all things Aircraft Hinge and Aerospace Machine & Supply run like clockwork. She makes it her mission to provide the best service to each and everyone of our customers, and her love of her job and this company are evident in all of her interactions.

Elysa Arroyo | Manager of Compliance, Grants, and Government Relations MPAP, M.Ed

Elysa has worked for AMS Las Vegas/Aircraft Hinge in many capacities since 2008, but has played an essential part in the expansion of the Las Vegas facility in recent years. Elysa’s unique confluence of skills and expertise has led her to secure grants for the company, improve production and communication efficiency, and open many doors for the company to grow. Her attention to detail, out-of-the-box problem solving, and constant desire to innovate and improve make her a valued member of our team.
